Calvary Chapel Volunteer Application

We’re so glad you’re interested in serving!

At Calvary Chapel, we believe every role is ministry and every person has a place to serve. Volunteering is more than filling a need—it’s an opportunity to use your gifts, grow in faith, and help others encounter the love of Christ.

This application helps us learn more about you so we can connect you with the right team. Once submitted, we’ll follow up with next steps and provide our Statement of Faith for you to read and affirm as part of the onboarding process.

Thank you for your willingness to serve—your ministry matters!

I understand that as a Volunteer I represent this church and Jesus and agree to serve with humility, respect, and teamwork. (Required)
As a volunteer serving in the spirit of deacons, I agree to pursue these biblical qualities: Please check each box acknowledging you are in agreement.
Serving in ministry is a spiritual responsibility. In Scripture, the role of deacons (1 Timothy 3) highlights the importance of integrity, purity, and faithfulness for those who care for the practical needs of the church. While we do not formally use the title “deacon,” we ask all volunteers to serve in the spirit of that role—living lives that reflect Christ and guarding against anything that would bring reproach to His name. These qualifications are not about perfection, but about a sincere commitment to walk in holiness, depend on God’s grace, and represent Jesus well as you serve His people. Please check each box acknowledging you are in agreement.
1) I will live with dignity and integrity, avoiding behavior that brings reproach to Christ.
2) I will be honest and sincere, not double tongued or deceptive.
3) I will practice self control, not given to excesses (including alcohol or other indulgences).
4) I will not be greedy or self seeking, but serve with generosity and humility.
5) I will hold firmly to the truth of God’s Word with a clear conscience.
6) I will be trustworthy and dependable, faithful in commitments and relationships.
7) I will model a life that reflects spiritual maturity and Christ like character.
8) I will be faithful in sexual purity, I affirm that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman.
As a volunteer I understand that I will be on a Ministry Team with a Ministry Coordinator that has been encouraged to help mentor and disciple the volunteers through weekly communication, encouraging personal growth in Jesus through daily study of the word (Required)
I agree to regularly attend Sunday services as part of my ministry commitment (Required)
I understand that serving in ministry at Calvary Chapel is a privilege and responsibility, but it does not take the place of regularly attending Sunday services. Because I am serving in a role within this church and representing Jesus, it is even more essential that I am consistently feeding on the Word of God, growing in my faith, and participating in the fellowship of the body. I commit to making regular Sunday worship a priority as I serve.
